Programme profile
Charles University: Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen
The Charles University Medical Faculty in Pilsen was established by a Czechoslovak presidential decree in 1945 as part of what was then the only CU Medical Faculty in Prague, but it rapidly won independent status and accreditation for its master"s programs.
Medical studies are divided into two basic branches general medicine and dental medicine. These are structured in the same way as the courses in the other university medical faculties: the first two years are devoted to theoretical studies, the second two years to pre-clinical subjects, and the final year to clinical disciplines.
